I like your #8. It's surprising - and quite depressing - that we hardly really listen to each other. When I started to train as prof coach, that was THE biggie. . . and please don't think I never had an ear. I thought I was a good listener, but I realized I often was thinking about what to say next while I was listening, and that is not true listening. And it's amazing what happens when I really listen.
