Let’s face it. We all wish we had our own pimp.
Making decisions is hard, and it’s just easier when someone else makes them for you. Even if it is the internet, and not a real person.
The internet has the power to do so many things for you. And I’d like to show you how to set it up so you don’t have to think anymore. Let’s leave the thinking to the ones that want to think: the computers.
Here’s how I’ve setup my system my system has setup me:
- The first thing I do every day is check email. This is pretty much the highlight of my day. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, then, of course, I check my email. It feels good knowing that I’m starting my day based on someone else’s agenda.
- Tweet incognito. I’ve installed a covert twitter application that actually looks like a spreadsheet when not viewed at directly. I basically had to do this so my wife wouldn’t divorce me. Our relationship went downhill when I missed our anniversary because I was tweeting about not knowing what to tweet about.
- No more decision making. I don’t make any conscious decisions any more. Instead, I just tweet about what I should do. This has really been a big shift for me. I call this web 3.0.
- My friend count is all the validation I need. I used to think that I needed to feel good about me, no matter what other people think. Now I’ve realized what I silly idea this was. As long as I get at least 10 friend requests a day, I don’t need any more validation.
All right, so most of that was a joke. But sadly, sometimes it seems like the internet is your pimp.
It doesn’t have to be this way, though.
You can make the internet your bitch.
Johnny Truant, my good (hilarious) friend, has just launched a new program called: How to Make the Internet Your Bitch.
Maybe you’re interested in breaking out of the cubicle, and starting your own dream business. But not understanding technology has held you back.
This is where Johnny comes in.
He’s the director of “Making Tech Simple” at Project Mojave, where he’s helped tons of people decrypt technology and make it work for them.
Now he has a special step-by-step program that will help you become technology’s pimp, and not the other way around.
Here’s some of the stuff Johnny teaches in his easy and hilarious videos:
- How to set up hosting and a domain name, and launch a website/blog.
- How to add themes, plugins, content, widgets, and more to your site to make it do what you want it to.
- How to make your blog more like a normal website than a blog, if you’d like.
- How to create email addresses and forwarders.
- How to setup an email marketing service and configure new lists.
- How to add products, categories, and product links in two separate e-commerce software packages.
- How to set up affiliate programs (both general and product-specific) so others can sell your stuff for you.
- How to become someone else’s affiliate to make money NOW.
- My two tips to being a kickass affiliate for someone, and actually making sales… the tips that have made me thousands.
- How to set up and use Twitter.
- And a bunch of other awesome stuff.
So if you’re interested in easy to understand tutorials to help you setup the nuts and bolts of your business, then this course is definitely for you.
Did I mention that Johnny regularly includes talking chickens in his videos?
Go here now to learn more about How to Make the Internet Your Bitch.
Use the code “illuminatedmind” (without quotes) and you’ll get 10% off when you check out.
(Note: I regularly recommend products and courses to people who want to help break out of the cubicle, work for themselves, and live their dreams. This is one such product. I only recomend awesome stuff that’s highly valuable from people I respect. I will never recommend anything cheesy, gimmicky, or anything that won’t help you kick major ass.)

You had me at the title on this post. :) Awesome!
Great title!
When I started reading I thought that is not me. Yeah right, we all have a pimps somewhere in our lives, some are more visible than others. It never hurts to take posts like this as a lead to observe myself.
Thanks for this. It’s true that even escaping our cubicles won’t bring us the freedom we’re craving if others’ e-mails, social media DMs and so on set our agendas and become the “boss.”
You know you have a problem when…
Hey Jonathan!:)
Great post and an awesome resource for anyone starting out with internet marketing.
I know how true it can be being a slave to the internet, like checking emails or sitting on facebook.
Personally I have never become addicted to Twitter, I think its a rather dumb program to be honest, but it has value as a marketing tool:)
Keep well!

I only just got round to reading this and a lmao at your intro. For a moment I thought you were being serious, shame on me ;-)
Ah, would that my pimp had had my best interests at heart (sigh) but that was years ago. Recently, the magazine I worked for went down for the count so I’m using this time to reform, reshape and generally find a new path. Your encouragement has been really helpful.
jonathan you legend!!
